In the translation business the saying of ‘You get what you pay for’ is very true. However, our objective is still to minimise prices without harming either quality or service level. In order to achieve this, we need to have as much information about the assignment as possible, and preferably higher volumes should be ordered together.
Currencies: We calculate our prices in EUR for our European partners and in USD for overseas partners. Of course, this can be different based on our clients’ request.
For higher volumes and framework contracts, we are glad to offer volume discounts or agree on special prices.
Our translation prices:
Our translation prices are based on the number of source words and include the following:
- translation by a native speaker translator
- proofreading by another native speaker translator
Following the translation process, we carry out a two-step in-house quality check through our QA team, which consists of:
- terminology review, double-checking of names and organisations
- formatting the translation(s) to reflect the original source document(s)
- content, consistency and coherence check.
In the case of repetitive texts or translation memory matches, we are pleased to offer discounts.
We are able to handle several file formats. If we receive the translatable document in a non-editable format, we charge a DTP fee for the file conversion.
Our proofreading and editing prices:
Our proofreading and editing prices are based on the number of the words and include the following:
- proofreading/editing by a native speaker translator
- Following the translation process, we carry out a two-step in-house quality check through our QA team, which consists of:
- terminology review, double-checking of names and organisations
- formatting the translation(s) to reflect the original source document(s)
- content, consistency and coherence check.
When we need to produce proofreading or editing of a PDF document, we charge the work by the hour.
In the case of small volumes of translation, proofreading and editing work, we apply minimum charges.
Our interpreting prices:
Our interpreting prices differ based on the languages and the country where the service is needed. We have half day and full day prices. In the case of recording or live streaming we need to ask for an additional fee due to the interpreters’ authors’ right policy.
Our transcription prices:
We calculate transcription prices based on the length of the audio or video file, however, the rate per minute depends not only on the language but also on the quality of the recording.
Our typesetting prices:
If your publication is created in InDesign, we can help you to typeset the different language versions in the original artwork. Our typesetting prices are calculated based on the number of pages in the publication. We have different prices for simple layouts (text only), and complex layouts with infographics, tables or charts.
If you don’t have access to the document you would like to have translated or edited, feel free to ask for an estimate, and we will update our quote once the document is available.
